Description
This program is designed to meet TDGA/TDGR requirements for any worker who handles, offers for transport, or transports Dangerous Goods. Training shall be refreshed every 3 years, as prescribed, or as new Dangerous Goods arise at the workplace. This program covers aspects of the TDG system for transportation of dangerous goods by road. Training includes elements required to be covered within Section 6.2 of the TDG Regulations, but is not limited to:
- Classification of Dangerous Goods;
- Responsibilities of Shippers (Consignors), Carriers, and Receivers (Consignees);
- Selecting Proper Shipping Names;
- Schedules 1, 2 & 3;
- Small and Large Means of Containment;
- Use of Safety Labels/Placards;
- Shipping Documentation;
- Safe Handling Procedures;
- Emergency Response Assistance Plans (ERAP);
- Measures to Reduce or Eliminate Dangers to Public Safety;
- Transport Canada Reporting Requirements;
- Knowledge Evaluation
Certificate of Training
Upon successfully completing the Knowledge Evaluation, participants will receive a Certificate of Training and a wallet card.
